Pack 357 families, spring is here and I hope you enjoyed the mild winter. We celebrated achievements for our Scouts at the Blue and Gold Banquet earlier this month. It looked like most of you were there and had a lot of fun creating some good memories.
Last weekend, we headed back to the trail that started it all! Our March monthly hike kicked off our tenth year in the program. We walked about 4.5 miles with hills and valleys to cross before we reached then end. I have been on most of the hikes over the past nine years and it has really been a positive experience. I encourage more of our families to join in on this activity – we hike every month (unless we can’t for some reason). We are looking for adults interested in helping us find new locations to visit and new activities to do while we are out and about. This is a great way to get the boys outside and getting exercise. We also hope they have fun!
In April, we will be having our last indoor Pack meeting before summer. It is on Friday, April 21st. Please join us for more fun and exciting times and don’t forget the attendance prize!
Summer Day and Overnight camps are open for registration and I hope you all take advantage of the great opportunities these events have to offer. We have the advantage of having Castlewood Day Camp right around the corner and a volunteer commitment is not a requirement for that camp. You can find all the details on Summer Camps right here!
Be safe and have fun, until we see each other again!
Mr. Bolte, Cubmaster
We missed a post in November and now it is getting near the end of the year! We had a great time having Knightly challenges at the November Pack Meeting and we are looking forward to the fun of the Winter Carnival this week at the December Pack Meeting! We hope to see you there.
We are also “gearing” up for the Pinewood Derby in January. Please see the Pinewood Derby page for updates and information on our event.
Please have a safe and jolly good time this holiday season! Remember that it is the season of giving and some of the most important gifts we can have are: good faith, good family and good health!
Happy holidays everyone!
Hey there everyone! We have had a lot of great activities since we started the new Scout year. I hope you have had the chance to attend as many of them as you can.
We kicked off the year with the Back to School BBQ, which was well attended and it seemed as though all had a great time! It was a beautiful day to share in the fun activities, good food and hopefully some new acquaintances!
We had our first Pack meeting in September, where artists showed their skills making new Den flags. We will be using them at all of the Pack meetings going forward. Don’t forget that we have attendance prizes for all the Scouts!
October was a great month to have our Fall campout! We had wonderful weather for this all outdoor event. Despite a long walk to our campsite, everyone had fun playing games, learning new skills and cooking over a fire. We are looking forward to the Spring campout with other great activities!
Remember that we have a presence on Facebook and Shutterfly to share information and photos! Please load post them so we can include them in future videos of our activities – we like to have these videos for the Blue and Gold banquet and during recruiting in the spring an fall.
Get ready for the King’s Council in November…
